Huston was the 2nd born daughter of John Huston and Enrica (a former ballerina who was also the son to Walter Huston, actor Walter Huston). Huston's family moved from California in 1953 and moved to County Wicklow. They then moved into a manor in County Galway. Huston was a major part of her childhood on the estate. It was a place where she spent a lot of time in the absence of her husband working at movie sets. Soma was moved to London with her three children following his departure in 1962.
